Blend Projects
The Blend Kit pairs one-of-a-kind architecture with a systematized design and fabrication process. Every home is designed for its site and the people who live there, then engineered, fabricated and delivered as a precise kit of parts.

Blend Projects
Every Blend home starts from a blank page: designed around your site, your program and the way you want to live. It’s then delivered through the same proven process every time, with the same engineered components, made to the exact dimensions of your design.
The result is a home with the character of a one-off, built with the accuracy, speed and predictability of a system.
01
A custom home, designed around your site, program and budget.
02
Every project is site-engineered and stamped by a structural engineer.
03
Kit components are fabricated to the exact dimensions of your design.
What’s in the kit
Scroll to assemble the kit, one component at a time. Each part arrives engineered for your home and ready to install.
The foundation, shown in grey, is completed by others and is not part of the kit.
A SIP panel or truss floor system, set on top of a crawlspace, basement or lower floor.
A series of glulam moment frames carries the home, and becomes part of its architecture.
Structural insulated panels form the walls and roof: structure, insulation and sheathing in one.
A VP100 peel-and-stick weather-resistant barrier wraps the walls and roof.
High-performance glazing and doors, specified to suit your design.
Interior walls are framed in 2×6 light-gauge steel (LGS), for accuracy, sound control and speed of construction.
The shell is shown transparent here so the interior walls are visible.
With the kit installed, the home is structurally complete, insulated, sealed and glazed.
Cladding, roofing and interior finishes are completed by others, to your design.
Six components, engineered together and delivered as one kit.

Why the system matters
An airtight, continuously insulated envelope that stays warm, dry and quiet.
Passive House standards achievable with minor upgrades
Net zero achievable with added solar
Conditioned crawlspace houses mechanical systems
Pre-engineered components go together quickly and predictably on site.
Weather-tight sooner, with less exposure during the build
Precise parts mean less cutting and less site waste
A repeatable process means fewer surprises
Built to stand up to fire, earthquakes, snow and time.
1-hour fire-rated SIP assembly as standard
Frames designed for high seismic and snow loads
FSC certified timber that stores carbon
Blend Projects
Base 2×6 SIP wall assembly
Upgraded 2×8 SIP assembly
Fire-rated SIP assembly, standard
The base kit is built for performance. Passive House standards are achievable with minor upgrades, such as 2×8 panels and triple-pane glazing.
Pair the high-performance envelope with an additional solar array to reach net zero energy.
